new work, experimenting and more unfinished paintings

Hey there,

So, I've been itching to spill the beans about my latest project – my exhibition "Cultural Cadence in Afro London." It's been a wild ride, let me tell you. Picture this: seven out of twelve paintings done, but all of them hanging in limbo, waiting for that final touch. Why? Well, I have this habit (or maybe it's a quirk) of reaching a point where I feel satisfied, and then I'm off to the next shiny idea. But hey, it keeps things interesting, right?

Let me introduce you to "RAE.JPEG" – my almost-finished masterpiece. This one's special because it's a portrait of my best friend, Rae. Now, Rae is not your average Joe – she's a powerhouse in the London fashion scene, with a following that could rival a celebrity's. Including her in this series was a no-brainer. I mean, she practically embodies the essence of Afro London's cultural pulse.

But here's the kicker – I'm not spilling all the juicy details just yet. Gotta save some surprises for the big reveal at the show! What I will say is that each painting in this series is like a love letter to the vibrant tapestry of Afro London. From the bustling streets to the glitzy runways, I've tried to capture it all – the energy, the diversity, the soul.

As I put the finishing touches on these pieces, I can't help but feel a sense of responsibility. It's not just about painting pretty pictures; it's about honoring the people who inspire me and celebrating our shared experiences.

So, mark your calendars for the exhibition – it's gonna be a blast. And who knows, maybe by then, I'll have wrangled those last five paintings into submission. Fingers crossed!

Until next time, keep soaking up the beauty of diversity, and let's keep this conversation going.

Cheers,

Zabe
